Workshop: Glazing Intensive 2.0
Glazing is one of the last important components of the ceramic process, but let's be honest, it can be the most frustrating!
In this 2-day workshop, students will learn various glazing techniques, including layering, resists, oxides, underglazes, and more. Participants will also learn about best practices for the glazing studio, the composition of glaze, its effects on different surfaces, how to properly prepare bisqueware for application, how discover unique glaze combinations through testing, and how to identify and prevent glaze flaws.
Current CAG students are encouraged to bring a Cone 10 bisqued piece of their own to glaze. Bisqued pieces will be available for purchase for students working outside of the CAG studio. (Please do not bring any bisqueware from outside the CAG studio.)
No clay experience? No problem! This workshop is perfect for both beginners and advanced clay makers.
